Oh my GOD Option one. I didn't even bother to register when Kotaku showed the first poll, but god, the Japanese art here is too fantastic to not vote for. With Ash Crimson ('hero' of this arc) taking front face and Kyo and Terry (the former heroes going back to the first KoF tournament that was within the Fatal Fury series - missing K' from the NESTS arc, but he isn't in the game so thats ok). It's too epic to miss out on.

Thumbs down

I guess those are okay but very dissapointing that neither cover art has Ryo Sakazaki, the FIRST original King of Fighter (check AOF 2: King of the Fighters tournament)

Not only that but it was Ryo again that inspired/spawned the KOF video game series by appearing in Fatal Fury Special as a dream match.

If you want to go into detail, Art of Fight and Fatal Fury are both in the same universe. But KOF is a entirely different universe, since AoF takes place around the 60's IIRC and FF in the 80's/90's. Now Ryo and Terry shouldn't be even look that young in KOF if they were in the same universe.

Now KOF MAIN character is KYO, because the story revolves in him rather than Ryo and Terry. Usually their stories make no contribution to the KOF story. So I don't see why Ryo or Terry should be in the cover if he just a fighter and a "cameo" in KOF.

It will have logo, they just posted the logo less ver, since they had to make it and add the Ignition logo there.

(damn it! They are teasing me, by showing they actually have the artwork in High Res.)

Ok let's get technical, this KOF is supposed to be a rebirth to go back to the old roots of dream matches called KOF, and what are the old roots? What I mentioned in my previous post.

Ryo vs Terry is the reason KOF started in the first place. And also, this KOF has no story to begin with! its a dreammatch so it was the best opportunity for SNKP or Ignition to highlight the real heroes. I'm very dissapointed SNKP didn't do so as they said they would, they are still promoting Ash, Kyo, Iori, K' etc etc when they have been doing so in the past and have to do int he future.

Anyway, whatever, its a minor issue, i'll be getting this game regardless and kicking some serious ass with Ryo and others

Registered just to vote for Option 1. Option 2 may have more recognizable characters, but I don't want a photoshop job as a boxart.

Option 1 please, the second one looks like the same old generic fighting game cover. The first one is easy on the eyes as well, not so crowded looking.
