Well, we paid $60 for game that is virutally "versus only", I'm glad they care so much about how it performs online.

Hats off for Ignition who don't settle with the current state of KOF XII and for keeping in touch with the community.

Wow. I...don't know what to say. The fact that Ignition actually cares about their fans is one thing, but to actually go and have a meeting with SNKP about the netcode is speaking volumes on how much they love and care about their fans. I feel sorry to the people who returned their copy of KOF XII because now they will never know how much SNKP and Ignition loves them.

Me:Iori, you're trying to look cool but It's not working.

Iori:

Me:And Billy...you're just being random.

Billy:...Don't make me hit you with this stick.

Ignition has impressed me from the beginning and continue to do so. I definitely hold no ill will towards them for anything that's happened with KOFXII so far.

I just miss you being more active on the forums, Mad Max! But I guess that's the price we have to pay.

Well...maybe Ignition. SNK seems somewhat indifferent unless the squeaky wheel starts acting up.

Great to hear, I hope Ignition are drilling it into their heads that online play is so god damn important in the west.
GGPO netcode please.

Well, I'd insist for KOFXII if work doesn't get done, that you guys force the netcode on them.

GGPO preferably.

If they don't like it, don't publish it. They'll change their tune- or they'll find someone else then we'll know not to get it.

As a person who only recently got into fighting games and never played anything from SNK, I was following the development of KOFXII for months before it's release. It seemed like a really interesting 2D fighter that would be right up my alley.

I don't live in a huge city with a competitive fighting scene, in fact, we don't even have any arcades. A high quality online experience is one a must for any fighting game I choose to purchase.

I was heartbroken to find out that KOFXII's online play was not up to snuff. I chose not to buy the game until the online experience was fixed. Until the folks at Ignition and SNK get it right, I will not buy KOFXII.

The ideal situation would be to implement GGPO netcode into KOFXII.

I really hope this problem is fixed very soon so I can finally get my hands on a copy of KOFXII!

I'm going to have to agree.. I bought this game today thinking how badly I'm going to get owned online. But honestly it's not even playable because of the lag.. I'm really glad this thread was made and I really hope ignition and SNKP add the GGPO netcode into this game. Then I can see them selling a lot more copies and I can also see this game getting very popular.. Please ADD GGPO

Hello,

This is my first post here.

I want to say thank you to the development team for keeping fighting games current and innovative. I am a long time KOF fan and have been eagerly awaiting KOF12.

I will break my thoughts on the matters at hand into two parts and I will attempt to be brief so that you can avoid losing this post in all the discussion:

Training Mode, Offline, Menus, Features
+Intro, logos, etc should be skippable at start-up

+Command list should be accessible by pressing 'Select' in Training or vs

+Button assignment should be 'type-in', as in pressing the button you wish to assign to a command

+Vs screens should have an exit option to the main menu via 'Select' or pressing all four face buttons

Online
+The matches play very poorly right now. The commands and movement have significant delay.

+Improved netcode or Peer to Peer is necessary. We WANT to play online The community will only continue to live on via online play.

+The menu matching system for online rooms is unintuitive. I would like to see it revised such that being in the room is enough. 'Entry' into the fight line is redundant.

+The host needs to have the ability to remove players. This is a necessity.

+Spectators appear to have an effect on lag and online. Quarter lobbies are great, but if they're going to be a detriment to actual play, then they should be abolished. Perhaps putting the spectators on a delayed viewing or something similar would work, but as for now they're a problem.

+Saving replays should be a side option after a match, not a necessary menu to have to get through.

Thank you for your time. I know I'm probably restating some things that have already been said, but please note that the things which have been restated are very important to the fighting game community.
