ya this is very informative! maybe more will be revealed at E3, but KOFXII is already a must buy! nice work with that V-Slasher! :D

what's really great is that this CONFIRMS no console exclusive characters! whew! we're both getting all of them. :)

At the very least they need to give us the option to filter out of fights with people who are using it.

yeah I guess that would be good to satisfy both groups.

but I'm glad they give that simple option because it lets more casual players to enjoy the game without needing to buy a better controller or forcing their thumbs too much. I have friends who don't play fighting games cause the specials are kinda complicated to them.

that's not to say that Simple mode will make it as easy as Super Smash Brawl, but how he said it is kind of vague. maybe he mean that the responsiveness of the controls are better in simple mode. cause it doesn't sound like it's like CvsS2 EO where it's one direction for insta-special/super. then again, that EO mode did save CvsS2 because gamecube has a bad controller, almost as bad as Wii.

well not sure how they will filter that out for online player who prefer Normal mode.
I will play Normal mode, but I will use Simple mode when playing with friends that come over. :)

As far as i know simple mode asigns the back buttons to be all your specials... and that just sounds scary if it makes it into the online fights.

ohhhh okay, then my guess is that Simple mode is only for offline play.

I don't think they would allow that online unless there is a filter.

We can only hope. :)

I figured that if someone is resorting to mapping specials.. then they'd be easy to beat. They are just going to be throwing out random special moves if they have that mindset to map buttons.

eep. I guess it's official Mai isn't gonna be included? he just said that if the demand is high, she will be added to a future game (most likely KOF13).

ah well, we already had our safety helmets on for this kinda news. this game will still be awesome. :)

Great video, thank you for sharing it! The only bad thing is that, since I'm awful at understanding spoken English, I couldn't understand anything except what has been said in this topic -one-button specials option and the unlikeliness of more additional characters. Could someone summarize briefly what are the other news we get from this interview if there are any, please?

I think that they haven't said that there aren't will be more characters, they have said that extra characters aren't gonna be exclusive for a console, which means that PS3 and xbox360 will have the same extra character, if there are some extra characters..
Is that right?

well if more characters are added as DLC both will get them

Mature's movelist makes me want to cry:(
It looks like she might end up being dull to play as, I'm gonna have to practice not using any special moves otherthan Despair and Metal Massacre in KoF 2002 to get ready for this game. Boo.
I guess the "Anti-Air Flip Kick" I read about was some noob-reviewer talking about her knock-down attack.

And wtf is up with Mature losing her "Mystical Orochi Powers"? I know her power was called "Beast" and it heightened raw instinct but what did she posess aside from cutting crap with her hands like everyone else..? Cuz it looks like she can still do that in KoFXII... lol

well most characters don't have that many moves. It's the depth of gameplay that makes it interesting. I can't believe they talked about fan fourites while not including K and mai in. They need to make this kof successful to even think about another one.

Its her moveset and stance from KOF 96. They just replaced Decider with Despair Tsukia.

I think she cant' do some of her moves anymore due to lack of depth perception :D

I think the Tsuika is just when Mature doesn't slash during the jump..So it's just a fake pretty much. So not my playstyle:(
..But tsuika means "addition", and I can't see a fake-out being an addition so I dunno. I hope it's something better. I don't think I've seen it done in a video yet unless the fakie really is it.

LOL:D

Hmm, if Vice survived as well I wonder how her moves will be since her powers gave her super-strength..She'll be de-grappled, which would suck.. I've noticed Iori's outfit totally matched Mature's (they even have some identical palettes) so I think she's teaming up with him to take down Ash. I hope they freakin' kill him! Mature needs her moves back:mad:

..Oh yeah, and Iori's flames too.

I really feel disappointed too about Mature's moveset. Where is DEATH DOWNER??? How can they removed this attack?? Is her basic one!! It's like removing Rising Takle from Terry or RyuEnBu from Mai. Nonsense!
I guess, they have removed because with this attack Mature could be more powerful than the new "Mature's style Iori".... He has to better, of course.... I know character's movelists have been reduced but just 2 attacks and 1 DM for Mature is too short....:(

wasnt that her ranged slash projectile? well it might of made her overpowered.

No, death Downer is her qcb+C x 3 times. 3 slashes that she did with her nails in front of you.
