Street Fighter: Legend of Chun-Li

I was in Gamekyo looking at new games when I found this trailer showing a movie about Chun-Li and the person who is playing her is Kristen Kreuk one of the main characters of the Smallville TV series!

He means Bartkowiak as in Andrzej Bartkowiak, the director of the movie who has made pretty awful movies such as Doom (Even the Rock admitted the movie sucked and he starred in it). Chances are this will probably be a pretty crappy Street Fighter movie though it might end up being a fun movie when taken on it's own. Guess it depends on if you can enjoy cheesy movies or not (A good example is Bartkowiak's movie Exit Wounds which was a terrible movie but fun in a mindless entertainment way). As long as it's not Dead or Alive bad then it could be unintentionally silly fun.

Despite what I just said, I don't plan to apply that way of thinking to Dragonball. Something about that movie just makes me ill.

Bleh. The trailers look awful, and I'm 100% sure this will be a suck fest. Kristin Kreuk cannot play Chun-Li, so I knew this would be a failure from the beginning. There's nothing intimidating about her, and not to mention she's not all that pretty, to boot. I would have thought Ziyi Zhang would have been a better fit, but she's too small. I guess they just went with who would be commercially recognizable in this case to help up the sales. I won't go see it. It's not worthy of my $10.

For what it's worth, a good friend of mine that happens to be a Street Fighter nut saw this movie and said it had him begging for Van Damme. For myself that was all I needed to hear.

I did another movie review on this one at my channel I cant remember what score I gave it but it was pretty refreshing to see another look at the backstory of Chun Li Xiang though I felt Balrog carried the movie himself him and Bison mostly Vega had the shortest part.

hey! im a hardcore Van Damme fan!:Danywhoo,i actually saw the movie and it wasn't that bad.it was ok,but it could have been better.it was watchable,and Kristin Kreuk is freakin HOT!!!!!!

havent seen the movie but at least it has a better cast then the kof movie v.v i mean come on Maggie Q as Mai v.v shes way to skinny and Kyo is white(not japanese)Iori, no red hair and by reading some of the story of the kof movie v.v extremely awful BAD :mad:

Alba's chinese in this film but hey at least im grateful he even made it in the movie.

You'd think Keanu Reeves would be available for this but no either way races dont matter too much to me as long as they have the personality traits of the characters there playing as. This just reminds me of The Double Dragon Movie all over again.

But yeah overall it sounds like they clashed plotlines back and forth to fit everyone in.
