A live-action movie based on the anime series of Dragonball, Z, and GT.

What are your thoughts and feelings about this movie? Just let out.

Honestly I think it looks terrible. Nothing about it resembles Dragonball at all. The designs of Dragonball don't work in real life and this movie makes it painfully clear. In fact, it actually reminds me of the Power Rangers movie for some strange reason.

On the positive side this topic reminded me another anime to live action movie that I wanted to make a thread about.

I always figured the US would produce their own animated movie before attempting live action. Seems I was wrong. I've only seen screens which I found to look a bit silly. I'll have to look at a trailer at some point.

Maybe we should give it a chance. Remembered the live-action Transformers movie and everyone thought it was gonna be bad but turn out good.

I'm not even a Dragonball fan, but I don't need to be one to know that this movie looks horrendous. I mean, sure, Chow Yun Fat is awesome, but please, he's just dragging himself down with this one.

And why the hell are they making a fighting game? It looks like a generic ripoff of Virtua Fighter or something. The characters have no unique look to them.

The movie does indeed look bad, but I thin kI'd sooner see Dragonball than the new Street Fighter movie.

I did a review on this on my youtube channel which I need to spruce up again since im regually posting again but I gave it a 3/10 but that was because I was feeling generous.

i don't know about thais one,a live-action DBZ movie seems like it wouldn't work.i personally would have made the Dragonball movie computer-generated that way it still would of had that anime feel to it.i still am going to see it though since i am a hardcore DB,DBZ,DBGT/Toriyama fan.

I recently saw the fighting game based on this ( Dragonball Evolution ) in action my god I cant believe people actually designed this. Not in a bad way and not in a good way either it was like looking into an empty room my expression remained plain. (Sorry if anyones a fan of this series.)

i actually saw a book devoted to the movie,i didn't know there was a fighting game too.:confused:

Based on the feedbacks that I heard, this movie did not really meet the expectations of the Dragon ball fans because the characters were quite unrealistic.

Dragonball characters ARE unrealistic,but that fits better in the anime world.:D
