There have been so many great Metal Slug games over the years it's hard to decide which is the best. The original? The over the top MS3? The brand new MS7? Thus a poll. Which is your favorite game in the Metal Slug series?

Then that's quite a shame, really. I actually found that Metal Slug 3D, despite the flaws that it has, was quite entertaining due to the fact that it took a new, different path than the previous titles. (The main reason why I didn't play any other games but that for two consecutive weeks.)

The game itself had a great concept, but the developers failed to properly build on it.

Definitely Metal Slug 3. I would go so far as saying it's the best arcade shooter of all time.

Agreed. I just love all the animals and slugs. The diversity is spectacular

Even the final level has enough variety to be a full Metal Slug game on its own. It's almost as long as one too. :D

The game has a lot of flaws, but that doesn't mean that it's all bad, either. Bad voice acting, graphics and scripts aside, the fact that the developers were able to preserve the run-and-gun system used on the arcade 2D scrollers and transition it to a 3D environment definitely merits a mention.

And I've seen some ridiculous complaints from people other there, too, a lot of which they would never have encountered should they have even remotely skimmed through the manuals.

The planners weren't really focusing on anything fancy for the game, other than mind-boggling amount of trigger-happy action, which Metal Slug 3D provides. If anything, MS3D had more replay value than any other arcade Metal Slug titles, in my opinion.

I love Metal Slug X and the other versions too. I love the cute characters and the game is very enjoy.

Metal Slug 3 is the best game of all series, because was the greatest action adventure exceeding the limits, it included lots of new things, new kind of missions (air, water and space) new kind of weapons (thunder cloud, mobile satelite) different courses in missions, tons of new enemies, new vehicles, etc. my only complaint, is the final boss, it's a little boring.

MS4 and 5, are the worst versions, i think, because at start, there aren't all the animations (explotions, die, efects), in comparition of all things MS3 brings in the past, this versions seems no offer good new things and missions.

MS6 is the rebirth, because are great improvements in graphics, sounds and weapons, new rules and creative missions, bosses and gameplay, including this time all animations from the past.

MS7 is great!! awesome!! i can't belive the excelent dificult level, action, animations, creative missions, bosses, old and new enemies together, all in my fauvorite portable, the NDS!! but, for the next time, i also want an arcade version, i love play Metal slug in arcades and see other people play.

Got to give it to MS3 on this one. From the moment the game starts they've got you by the balls. I remember when it first came out in the Arcades, thinking I would plug a quarter in the game and show the machine whats up.

I lost that quarter in minutes and before long I was defeated. All my training from X couldn't prepare me for the onslaught that I was about to experience. It wasn't till I got the game for PSP did I finally get the chance to beat it.

Great game in a great series.

My favorite is Metal Slug 3. It is really fantastic and very interesting game to play. The graphics and animation of this game are amazing and it is also attract the people to play this game. I am never feet bored when I play this game.
