I dunno. The pixel-y sprites don't exactly scream "hi-definition". Either way, I don't care. Both look good, but the jagged edges on the Arcade one are kind of a turn-off, honestly. The filter kind of gives it a smooth, realistic look.

I say make it a choice. They did so in other KOF releases on consoles, so why not here? I don't know if I ever kept the filter on or not, but it looks fine, to me. I see they changed the health bar layout for the console versions, though. The Arcade one looked pretty boring. Looks a lot more sharp, now.

I saw the pics on my HDTV the sprites lost their quality with the filter :(, I hope they look sharp without filter, please Mad Max tell us how the sprites looks without filter!?

In fact I don't like what I saw :( why BlazBlue have clean & clear sprites?

Sprites look sharp without the filter, perhaps even too sharp. SNKP are still making adjustments to the filter so by the time the final game hits it shouldn't be quite as heavy when applied (Assuming you even wish to use it).

I don't like the filter, background and interface looks more clear than characters. I don't see any need to use this filter option. What's wrong with pixel? I love it! The pixel treatment is perfect, I adore pixel art. It's better than 3D graphics pretending looks like 2D...:p

I think it's not not late for these things I am not asking to create new character from the scratch that need 14 months to finish I am asking about some artworks and interviews with the developers and about the anime thing I think they can add a small ending between 1:30 - 2:30 mins it's not big deal they are in Japan the country of Manga so they will find hundreds of studios to animate the endings, we want to strike Street Fighter IV and BlazBlue we want to say to them we have everything that you have and better, another thing must do now Ignition & SNK they must promote the game very well and in my opinion they must show the real graphics of the game without filter and must participate in the big game shows like E3 2009 & GDC 2009 this year and make tournaments in USA all these things well increase the popularity of KOF XII.

Please Ignition publish new screenshots with the real sprites's quality without filter I want to see original sprites :cool:

I would love to see such additions too. Unfortunately SNKP is already working very hard to finish the game in it's current state so I wouldn't expect to see too much of such content.

But I wasn't aware those sites had different pictures each. I read Joystiq alot and they were mentioned it as being exclusive pictures. I guess whoever gave each site a set of 4 pictures. That's kinda nice.

Im a fan of KOF since '94 (Its one of the games who made me enter the so called 'gaming industry'), and its the first time (At east for us westerns who dont know a thing about japanese) that we have some kind of contact to SNK.

@ Mad Max is Ignition Planning to revealed KOF XII in GDC 2009? can you give us some details?

I've seen this idea that those characters in the arcade intro are either old characters or new characters, but I don't think so. I think it'd be silly for them to either create a new character for this game or bring some seriously obscure character out of, well, obscurity. I think it's just a picture that doesn't mean much.

And the Clark thing. I remember seeing Leona in her old outfit in one of the advertising posters or something. It's probably just some early concept art or something that was tossed into the intro. I wouldn't look too deeply at it.
