Well, all the sites are gone, no one from you or Digi-guys have said ANYTHING since 23/7/10, when some sites reported this news. But on 23/6/10 Shane someone said WarDevil was still in development. So, is the game and Digi-Guys officially dead?

Digi-Guys at least, ARE still alive.
I've just spoken to them, they say someone is going to call me back RE WarDevil but no one was able to comment, (who I spoke to at least).

I'm hoping so, but if it doesn't come to Gamescom and is playable, I won't believe it's not always been pre-rendered footage.

EDIT:Mad Max, could you confirm you work for Ignision? I'm 99% sure you do, but I throught the same with Alba Meira, but I'm not sure on them either?

Thank you.

This studio wasn't capable when it came to creating video games. The whole thing was an utter joke.

Link to their site:

These tools packed their bags and got a job at McD's handling the fries. That's about all they're good for.

Nothing new there dude, but we all know what we just might be talking about tomorrow. (Think May 2008, or Google it).

Well, well, well just maybe it'll be you know what tomorrow, but it looks like Digi-lies have gotten you guys too.

It's 99.9% DEAD!

However, the once PS3-exclusive title may still have a future. WarDevil recently passed the proof on concept stage, and if the title shows any promise, it could get outsourced to an external studio.

"This week saw the pre-scheduled completion of a six-month proof of concept project on the WarDevil / Project Kane titles internally, which the board and studio management are currently evaluating as to whether the required quality will be achieved by completing internally or with an external partner," Hassan Sadiq, group chairman at Ignition Entertainment, told GamesIndustry.biz.

WarDevil has been trapped in development hell for the better part of three years. The last time any news on the project surfaced was in 2009, when WarDevil was the cover story of Edge Magazine.

WarDevil is slated for release in 2011 as "Project Kane".

Set for release under new title “Project Kane” next year.

UK-based media company UTV Ignition has announced that WarDevil, the thirdperson action game developed by its London studio, will be completed and set for release late next year.

Hassan Sadiq, group chairman of UTV Ignition, said: “Following a comprehensive audit of the title, assets and internal team, we have decided that a core team responsible for the Project Kane prototype will take the game into full production, led by the key vision holders."

Rumours of layoffs at Ignition’s London studio, formerly known as Digi-Guys, last month, along with the threat of the studio’s closure, lead to speculation that WarDevil had been cancelled.

"There has been speculation recently about this project but our vision has always been to create top quality content both with internal and external partners and this latest commitment combines the best of the DNA behind the original project vision with some of the creative talent available in the broader industry,” added Sadiq. He also said that outsourcing would play a role in the development process.

Julian Glover, design director of the project, said: "We have cherry picked from some of the world’s best teams to build our UK studio which includes personnel whose combined previous development credits include Burnout 3, Crysis, Little BigPlanet, and Heavenly Sword. We are extremely excited to fast-track development of Project Kane.”

Will it ever come out? I have my doubts.
