I got it about a week earlier than the suppose date. And I to live in Cali (South). Than again, I preordered it. But honestly when it comes with these budget SNK games, you always need to either preorder it online or at Gamecrazy. It's dumb that Gamestop doesn't let you preorder games that are 20 and under. But yeah, may be hard.

Best bet is to get it off Amazon. It's better than running around everywhere like a chicken without a head.

My GameStop STILL doesn't have it, but I've found online that there are a few outside of my driving range (as far as getting a ride) that have it in, so it's only a matter of time before they get it in.

It won't be. KoF 98 had a very limited shipment and Gamestops don't treat new PS2 games with any kind of priority at this point.

you shouldn't even bother with Gamestop for KOF/SNK games.there worthless pretty much.they still get SNK games sometimes, but i would still take another route like online or another store.i live in Texas and i found KOF 98:UM at a new placed just opened in my area called Play & Trade and they have it.they also have PS1,SNES,N64 games too and they have some import games too.

Yeah ive been noticing that for a while as of lately you have to go out of your way for recent games. It's like the local stuff dosent have some of the recent fighters in stock too often usually they get sold out or as stated before there were limited shipments.

For me I have never had a problem only cause I preorder my stuff at Gamecrazy. I know not everybody lives close to one compared to Gamestop, but never had a problem with GC so that works. It's better for me since I don't like to order online and there is no mom and pop type stores within a 2 hour distant (that I'm aware of).

Ironically there's a game crazy and a game stop that are directly next to each other not to far from me. though I never head out in that direction because gamestop is the store I usually go to.

Gamestop sucks cause you can't even pre-order games that are 20 bucks or less. Not sure if SNK is planning on releasing any more compilation games anytime soon, but if they do you should give Gamecrazy a try. They usually get their games the Friday of that week, but on time. At least, for me they do.

i hate it when Gamestop sells "were sold out" and i say "well,if your sold out dosen't that mean you once had the game?" and they so "no".well what the heck are you trying to say then. trust me,when it comes to Gamestop and SNK/KOF games, you get frustrated more then anything. there's a Gamecrazy like an hour away from me,not too far but i rarely go in the area.and usually by the time i think about going over there i usually have my desired game by then.i may check Gamecrazy for Samurai Showdown:Anthology.does anyone know if Gamecrazy has that?

I remember a similar incident with Electronics Botique back in the day

"Do you have it?"

"Were sold out"

Five minutes later you walk up to the store

Do you have it

"Oh yes were right in stock."

I just think Gamestop employees are not as informed about games as they should be - at least games that aren't considered "mainstream". A few months ago, I asked about 98UM and he said he didn't have it. I said let me look around to see what else you have and he said ok. A few minutes later I went to the counter and showed him the 98UM case. I said what were you looking up in the computer? He said well when you said 98, I thought it was an old used game you were looking for. So....you're better off buying it online.
