How long did it take you to main your favorite fighting game characters?

Main reason i'm asking is because after 100%'ing Blazblue I decided to break the game down to a control input level for casual play.

For that game. I want to pick up Hakumen for advanced level play.

Usually all SNK Characters I main I pick up quick ( mostly guy characters ) for most of them have the same movement style. QCF or HCB style inputs. The combos dont give me too much trouble either 360 degree input characters I usually have a lot of trouble with so they tend to cause me to lose a lot.

i mained Terry pretty quick,cause Terry is pretty easy to learn,and i've been playing with Terry since the Fatal Fury days.but characters like Yashiro and Chris took me longer to master cause there characters have more moves.i think the hardest character it took me to main was Gai,his moves take alot of time to do correctly,but i know there are others it took awhile for me to main too but i can't remember them at the moment.3-D fighters game characters are harder to master cause they have more moves than 2-D characters,but 2-D characters are no easy feat either.LOL
