View Full Version : Sloppy PAL territory releases

So.. KOFXI for PAL PS2 had numerous bugs not present in the US release, there's not IgnitionEnt Europe-forum and it seems like no one in general cares about the PAL releases of all these games..
Is there any way to keep Ignition Europe from making more mistakes? I mean the 60Hz option outputs NTSC in any case you that should be the exact same as the US version and nobody plays 50Hz nowadays :'(
My main point being: Can you guys at Ignition US somehow influence what happens at Ignition Europe and make sure the quality is on par (and on time) with the US releases? As a PAL gamer I'd really appreciate any kind of guarantee that the releases will be the same quality in both regions.. it kinda sucks checking out forums for fighting games, someone praising an Ignition release, getting it in Europe and realize that they were praising only the US release :/
I also have another question, in what PS2 titles released by Ignition (both NTSC and PAL) are progressive scan (triangle+x at startup) still included? This is some pretty crucial information for people on the edge of buying a game.
Ok, enough with my rant, thoughts?

I have to agree with anosou here. I am really concerned about how future SNK titles will come out from Ignition. I'm still a little unhappy that I cannot select the Ex Characters and the Orochi Team on the Orochi Saga for the Wii in training mode. I think that some one who knows the games very well should test them before they are shipped out. Also it is also why I went to importing SNK games insted of buying the US release of them. Not Arcade perfect, Sound Problems, Off center text boxes for story mode, ect. . All the things bad that I heard about the PAL releases of SNK games through Ignition UK.

Glad to see someone else is concerned! Since this directly affects Ignition's sales (yeah, mostly hardcore gamers buy SNK fighters and we're picky) the whole company should really work together with eachother and with the community to make sure these issues don't occur in future releases... It makes the customer feel ripped off!
Hopefully this thread will at least shine some light on the issue where Ignition representatives can see it...

Although we work with the UK and JP divisions regarding acquisitions they pretty much handle the releases for their own territories. Your best bet to to contact them and make your complaints heard.

The page comes up blank for me. It has the Ignition logo and the page header but there are no contacts to send e-mails to. The entire page below the header/options is blank.

Strange. Well there are Publishing and Press e-mails but the one you want is the General Inquiries which is: enquiries@ignitionent.com
I'll try and see if I can get you a more direct contact e-mail so you can let them know how you feel and what they need to do better.

Mad Max this is exactly why I came here because you guys are on the job getting things done like this. And you are also listening to us users/consumers of the products you produce. Like I have been saying on here SNKP USA forums nothing got done ever no admins or anything. They just tossed us aside. They really do treat their US fans like crap. And yet we still buy their games. And yeah I feel like a lost and distraught fan thanks to SNKP USA. Anyway though I do apprecaite everything that you are doing for us. Thanks man.

I really appreciate your effort Mad Max, that's also why I came here. When I'm able to articulate my thoughts in a good way (curse not having english as your main language) I will definitely e-mail them to Ignition Europe. Thanks
