Samurai Shodown Edge of Destiny

It was already announced for American consoles along with KOF 12.

My question is, what ESRB rating are you intended to go with this? All past SS games so far have been Teen rated, but the english version of the game as is right now is most definitely M material, and I want it to STAY that way because Samurai Shodown has had a nice history of censorship in non Japanese countries. I always thought of Samurai Shodown as those intended for a more mature audience, much like Tenchu.

I can't make any official comments on our status with this game just yet.

But pretending we are putting it out. There are no plans to remove or reduce the gore at this time and unless an unexpected situation arises, there will never be any such plans to do so. ;)

You can check out that same video in HD. The hand getting cut off and rolling towards the camera is my favorite part of that trailer. In case you're wondering, the women of the game can also be subjected to such carnage. Ouch.

HOLY CRAP! That's some vicious stuff right there, dude. Yeah, definitely M-rated material. I was wondering why the franchise had blood, but no dismemberment for all this time. I mean, ti would make sense. Now it does, though, so it's actually kinda crazy to see guys like Genjuro and Haohmaru get all chopped to pieces. It'll take some getting used to, but the art style is nice. Can't wait to get this one, too.

Dismemberment has been present in all SS games, but not as detailed as this game's. Samurai Shodown 5 Special's uncensored version is next in line in terms of overall violence.
