Progressive Scan in PS2 version?

I know that the Japanese PS2 port had a progressive scan option (hold triangle and x after booting the game), just wondering if this is still present in the North American release.

Progressive scan is still present in the most recent test kit build we have and I see no reason to believe it will be removed.

For sure it's in there :D (hold x and triangle before the game boots after the PS2 logo).

Is it just me or the game looks more...squished horizantally? O well it moves/looks a lot better. Plus I'm playing on upscaled PS3 :D
